 Deanna Merrill PA-C
(Certified Physician Assistant)
received her Bachelor of Science
degree in Human Nutrition as well as
her Master of Science degree as a
Physician Assistant from the
University of Kentucky.
Deanna is registered nationally by
the National Commission on
Certification of Physician
Assistants, and is currently
certified in the state of Ohio as a
Physician Assistant.
Deanna is a certified pump trainer
for Medtronic Minimed, Cozmo, Animas
and Omnipod insulin pumps. She is
also certified to train patients on
the Medtronic Minimed real-time
continuous glucose monitoring
system. She conducts all insulin
pump trainings as well as DECO’s
diabetes education program.
Deanna plays an active role in
patient care at DECO. She reviews
all glucose logs that are faxed and
e-mailed to the office. She adjusts
medications as indicated at office
visits, as well as ordering and
interpreting lab results, and
diagnostic tests all under the
supervision of Dr. Reddy and Dr. Rittenberry. In the near future, she
will be able to prescribe
medication in the State of Ohio.
